Outstanding Adult Literacy Teacher and Tutor Awards

The Outstanding Adult Literacy Teacher and Tutor Awards honour adult literacy teachers and tutors who have demonstrated a commitment to the field of adult literacy and essential skills. One award will be presented each year to a teacher and a tutor in the Anglophone sector. These awards are made possible due to the generous contributions from the former Fredericton Community Adult Learning Network.

Anglophone adult literacy teachers or tutors currently working or volunteering in a community, workplace or government literacy and essential skills program are eligible to receive this award. Entries should demonstrate the nominee’s outstanding contribution to the field of adult literacy and essential skills and highlight how they are making a difference in the life of adult learners.

In 2014, the Literacy Coalition of New Brunswick presented Joanne Wilson of St. Mary’s Adult Learning Centre  with our Outstanding Adult Literacy Teacher Award  and Pat Standing of Laubach Literacy, Fredericton with the Outstanding Adult Literacy Tutor Award.
