Moonbeam Scavenger Hunt – Celebrate Literacy and Fredericton Culture with Us This Summer!

Celebrate literacy and Fredericton culture with us this summer! Award-winning author Gail Francis and the Literacy Coalition of New Brunswick will be partnering with local downtown Fredericton organizations to hold a Moonbeam Scavenger Hunt. Featuring pages from the recently released book, Moonbeam, the scavenger hunt will run for four weeks starting on August 10th and finishing on Labour Day (Sept. 6th).

Children, families, parents, and people of all ages are invited to participate in this event! The Scavenger Hunt begins at Chapters in the Regent Mall, where you will pick up your Scavenger Hunt Passport. Follow the clues to each location to find the pages of Moonbeam. As you make your way, you will experience the rich culture of downtown Fredericton and maybe even discover a few hidden gems along the way. This Scavenger Hunt can be completed any time before Sept. 6th. There are six locations total to visit, so you can do it all at once or take your time and complete the Hunt at your leisure.

Once your Passport is complete, submit it at the final location before September 6th to be entered into a draw for one of five autographed Moonbeam books and Moonbeam T-shirts! Additionally, when you hand in your completed Passport, you will receive a 2 for 1 admission coupon for Science East (668 Brunswick St.).

As a special treat, Westminster Books (88 York St.) will be offering a 10% discount on the featured book, Moonbeam.

Join Gail and the Literacy Coalition of New Brunswick at Chapters (1381 Regent St.) Fredericton on August 10th at 3pm for the launch—and cake!
