Adult Learning Programs
There are many programs in New Brunswick to help adult learners. Here, they are organized into two categories: Community Adult Learning Programs and Laubach Literacy New Brunswick (now Read NB).
Community Adult Learning Programs (CALP) can help you with things like CAEC (formerly GED) preparation and digital literacy and just getting better at math, reading and writing. The Academic Adult Learning Program is flexible; You can join almost any time and work at your own skill level and pace. If you have not finished high school, this program can help you get ready to write the CAEC test. The Digital Literacy program can be offered in an academic center, a workplace or a community center. Laubach Literacy New Brunswick Councils (now Read NB) have trained volunteers who help adults improve their basic reading, writing and math skills through a free, confidential program. These programs provide one-to-one tutoring for adults in reading, writing, and math. They use practical learning tasks and resources to meet your learning needs at home, at work, or in the community.
