Laubach Literacy New Brunswick (LLNB) was founded in 1975 and offers free tutoring in basic literacy and numeracy skills to adult learners by trained and certified volunteers. A registered, non-profit charitable organization, LLNB has Councils and points of contact in various rural and urban regions of New Brunswick.

Community Adult Learning Program (CALP): Apprentissage pour adultes Peninsule Inc.

Leur mission: Favoriser et promouvoir l’apprentissage pour adultes de la Péninsule acadienne afin d’augmenter les compétences en alphabétisation. Ils offrent des cours gratuits pour les 18 ans et plus dans différentes localités de la Péninsule acadienne et d’Alnwick (Bertrand, Brantville, Caraquet, Lamèque, Néguac, Paquetville, Shippagan et Tracadie)

Les services offerts sont :

  • Exercices de classement
  • Formation niveau 1 (1re à la 6e année) et niveau 2 (7e à la 9e année)
  • Préparation au GED (équivalence d’une 12e année)
  • Cours en littératie numérique (informatique)
  • Formation jusqu’à 30 heures par semaine ou moins (flexibilité)

Workplace Essential Skills (WES) training is based on the nine essential skills: Reading, Writing, Numeracy, Oral Communication, Document Use, Computer Use, Thinking Skills, Continuous Learning, Working with Others.
